Tequila Mockingbird

A very confused bunch of MFP's pitched up for the end of year hockey formal, couldn't quite put my finger on what was wrong until Tinman mentioned that it was the first time since joining MFP that we had arrived sober to such an event.

Frank the tank, as ever in fine form, quickly set the record straight by ordering what seemed like hundreds of tequilas. As they say in the races - we were off. The prize giving was a bit of a let down, we were not nominated for any of the main club awards, not sure who is in charge of such things but I will have a word soonest. To not win team of the year caught us complete off guard.

The main club had the presence of mind to sit us closest to the buffet table and have an extra table for everyone else, hardly any pushing and shoving as a result. Dinner safely tucked away and into the dancing. Things got off to a rather slow start and another round of tequilas pitched up. This spurred the entire MFP onto the dance floor as standing around the dinner table was likely to get you another tequila for your trouble. Things, as usual, got very blurry from here on in, here are a few of the flashes that I remember

• Gary "I ate something bad in Egypt" D droping some awful darts to clear some room on the dance floor
• Skeg giving his shirt to someone else (male) and being topless for a bit (wtf????)
• Andrew being pulled ontop of an over zealous girl with a orange fetish (she later claimed that Andy dropped her, but I'm not buying it)
• Stocks arriving and leaving on time. The new Dave "Just say no" T
• The dance floor being a sea of orange
• The dance floor being a sea of orange - Then some idiot starting a mosh pit (cough)

A few notables, Easty managed not to get thrown out. Mexican hunting dog won a tog bag for his MVP
team award and promptly donated it to the new captain (me). That kind of devotion will see him get a run sometime in July rather than August.

Trent, shortest captain in MFP history, I talking time served, no really, seemed a little bleak that he would be missing out on so much drinking over the next year or so.

Looking forward to a cracker of a fund raiser on the 26th of October and then it's into the new season which promises to be a challenge, first things first, someone please find us a keeper!
